One hundred eighty-five
students received their degrees
at UMFK’s 132nd commence- ment exercises, held on May 10. University President Wilson G. Hess presided over the ceremony, which conferred 155 bachelor degrees and 30 associate degrees. In addition to awarding the diplomas to the Class of 2014, President Hess conferred Dr. David Hackett Fischer with an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters degree. George R. Dumond, from Fort Kent, was honored with the University’s Distinguished Service Award. UMFK also was honored to have the University of Maine System Chancellor Dr. James H. Page
