KIMIKA FORBES EARNS SPOT ON BOSTON BREAKERS’ RESERVE
TEAM UMFK senior goalkeeper, Kimika Forbes, a member of the USCAA 2013 National Champion Lady Bengals soccer team, has been named as a member of the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) Boston Breakers reserve team.
Forbes, a native of Trinidad and Tobago, made the Breakers’ reserve team during tryouts in early March.
The Boston Breakers Reserves feature some of the top, recently-graduated collegiate talent in the nation as well
as established players with semi- professional/professional experience. The Boston Breakers Reserves will train with the full Boston Breakers’ National Women’s Soccer League team and fol- low identical playing philosophies, learning to play ‘the Breakers way’. The Reserves will play an exhibition sched- ule against other reserve teams as well as competing in the WPSL.
Forbes was named a USCAA women’s soccer 2013 First Team All- American. Her record during the 2013 season was 14-1-1. She saved 74 of
80 shots on goal for a save percentage of .925, which led the USCAA. Kimika recorded eight shutouts on the season. She is a member of the Trinidad and Tobago women’s national soccer team.
