1. Space for working when color printing and what computer to work on - There currently isn't any space to work when making color copies or printing. No place to organize or fold while waiting for print job to complete. There isn't always a computer free to work on or a computer becomes tied up for printing. Sharon will let Melik know times for workstation for color printing

2. Sample products

3. Mini-sessions follow-up

4. Sofia after Sharon

5. Signage for computer - We looked at signs to see how they addressed saving while working on the computer. What can we do different? Currently, both word and wordperfect aren't backing-up automatically. We would like to program to back-up automatically. Where will it back-up to? We would like to encourage the use of zip disks. Zip with cover with directions in orientation pack. Talk to Scott about zip and how will fund with labels multiple places and methods

Next is Stephanie

Vacation - Sharon, Sofia, & Anne

1. Items in storage at the President's house: just an FYI that we may need to consider what to do with those items when a new President arrives at UMFK.

2. Don't make change for $20 bills. If the patron is paying a fine, fax or color copy that requires less than $13 back in change; you may accept the $20 bill.

3. The 24 hour room will be open mon-fri 8am to 4:30pm. It will close when the library does. Any changes in the schedule will be at Sharon and/or Leslie's discretion.

4. Stephanie asked that anyone needing anything from her before maternity leave should ask within her next 7 days of scheduled work.

5. The psychological tests formerly found in the Curr. Coll. will now be located in Spec. Coll.

6. J.R. Tolkien books need to be moved into the YA section. The Lord of the Flies should remain in the regular stacks. Anne will check to see if new YA books can be purchased. Sharon also recommended that the Dungeons and Dragons books be moved into YA.

7. Just a reminder that we are not a babysitting service. Parents who leave messages for their children should kindly be reminded that we are not responsible for keeping track of their child.

8. A review of the cataloguing standards showed that serials should not have multiple items catalogued. UMFK is doing this at this point in time. Leslie will follow up on this matter with the cataloguing standards committee.

9. We own DVD's! What's more....we are buying a DVD player!! Security for this items will be tight.

10. Software, such as Wordperfect will be put on reserve. The actual policy is yet to be determined. The manuals may be stored in the server room with the CD being stored on the reserve shelf or they might all stay in one package and on the reserve shelf. Final decision on this matter has not been reached.

11. The Percon Scanner should be reviewed this summer. Ideally, UMFK would like to compare the scanned items to a specific review file. At this time, UMFK has to compare its scanned items to the entire database. Sharon and Leslie will try to work on this in July and/or August. Stephanie will email the circ heads to see who is using the scanner and who actually does inventory.

12. Sharon pointed out that the 2.5 million dollar bond seems to still be "on the boards". The governor has yet to approve it.

The next agenda will be done by Sofia?
