I. Federated Search software, which is a search engine that was to be implemented at the end of May to search our Indexes and Databases, e-journals and other resources, needs a new name. A few title choices were suggested on what to call this search and from this library "Master Search" was returned as our vote.
II. Billing ILL and Circ: A few of us were confused on the billing process and where the paperwork should be kept for ILL. Different steps were discussed for each department involved. Stephanie sends invoices to faculty and staff and Anne does the check requests for the different institutions to be paid. Paperwork will be kept with ILL (serial dept.)
III. PeopleSoft: All of us on campus should have an active UNET acct. in order to access PeopleSoft for our time entry (instead of using time sheets). Sharon and Nicki will make sure that the names on the list we received have an activated UNET account when this new program goes in effect on July 7, 2003.
IV. Hole punch: Sofia will approach the Student Senate for the cost sharing of a new hole puncher. We are experiencing difficulties in choosing what would serve the students/library staff best. This is an on-going discussion for now.
V. Scanner software is not working properly on scanner in the back. Sharon and Sofia will look into reinstalling the software so users can get a better performance.
VI. While cleaning the keyboards in the comp. lab, Deb noticed that some had spilled soda on them. Will we let students bring in their beverages in the lab when the new computers are in this summer??
Next meeting date: July 8, 2003 - Time: ?
