2 Community Patrons and Gaming: Two high school students asked if they could come in to game during breaks. These two students are a recurring problem. One of the accounts has been disabled because he was logged in to two computers at once. We are going to enforce our policy of not allowing community patrons to game at all. We will limit them to only the computers in the library. We will also try to separate the community user accounts into two groups - adults and kids. If we see a community user gaming, we should ask them to do an alt, ctrl, delete to see who is logged in. Sofia has created a log to track the name, date, time and details of the violation.
3 Color Copies: We will scan something that someone wants a color photocopy of instead of sending them to Jason’s office. Jason’s office does not have a means of collecting money or making change.
4 Who goes where when an alarm goes off: Since the configuration of the building has changed, it is difficult to react to an alarm. The library staff will experiment and see what works best.
5 Fire alarm procedure: The fire alarm procedure also needs to change. Sharon will ask Bob about which alarm rings where. We need figure out if Neal can hear the alarms from upstairs and who should clear out what areas.
6 Holiday treats: This is the schedule for the treats next week:
Monday - Sharon/Sofia
Tuesday - Nicki
Wednesday - Anne
Thursday - Stephanie
Friday - Leslie
Others: Stephanie reviewed the Spring semester calendar. The library will stay open until 11:00 pm Mon, Tue, Wed during “finals” week, and until 9:00 on Thu. and Fri.
We also discussed our schedules for the rest of December. Sofia will be out from Dec. 10 until early January. Sharon will be out from Dec. 22 until Jan. 3. Georgine will be out until January 3. Leslie, Anne, Stephanie and Nicki are not sure when they will be in or out around Christmas.
Sharon reported that animals are not allowed in the building. There have been some problems in other buildings on campus.
Workstudy students and supervisors need to keep a close watch on their time and allocations. If they go over, they will not get paid.
The microfilm machine has been fixed for the time being. It seems to be working fine right now.
