The new full staff was in attendance including Leslie, Sofia, Katie, Nicki, Asita, Brenda, and Deb.
Nicki will train Asita as a back up person for the cash register deposits. The pcounter can not read the new $5 bills. There is the possibility of converting to a different print payment system all together in the near future. In the mean time we can: a) swap out a new bill for an older one or b) re-adjust the machine to accept only $1 bills
Sofia requested we have the second TV/VCR unit returned to the upstairs study cubicle. She will check with Don Ouellette about this. (Sofia writes: Leslie will follow-up about the TV. The dvd player does not work in it, only the vhs player. We will not replace the dvd piece.)
Damaged audio books on CD or tape should be treated the same as traditional books and replaced using the same criteria. We may consider, in some cases, making a copy of an individual damaged disc in a collection and keeping the original on hand to avoid any copyright infringement issues.
UNET does not have dialup instructions for the Vista operating system. The process is quite similar to the windows XP instructions so a patron should not have trouble using the same instruction sheet.
The Registrars office will be setting up a helpline for the upcoming registration period. Library staff can provide basic assistance and refer students to this number 834-8636 for further assistance.
Leslie gave a summary of the upcoming Library Director’s meeting agenda she will attend on Friday. Our future meetings will be on Wednesdays following the director’s meetings so she can brief us on any upcoming issues.
Leslie volunteered to take minutes at the next meeting.
