Community Patrons:
1. discussed their use of the facility, recently we had several issues in a row.
2. we need to think about the possibility of eventually either charging community to use the facilities/computers or not letting them use the facilities at all.
3. we are not sure we want to go so far as to ban them completely. There are many community patrons who benefit from our services and who follow the rules.
4. We will be creating a policy/procedure for community patrons and inappropriate behavior/removal of account
Serials checkouts to students:
1. discussed using circ on the fly or similar process
2. will be for students, faculty, staff only
3. tech services and circ will work together to create a usable system that work study will use as well.
4. want to automate as much as possible and eliminate the faculty paper check out
5. we will revisit late the option to include community
6. Once a process is nailed down, Deb will let the rest of know how it works.
Main Entrance Vestibule:
1. staff will put a sign up to let people know that discussions on their cell phone can be heard in the main area of the library
Donation form:
1. Deb showed recent updated to form and asked for feedback. We discussed several possibilities/changes. Deb will send us the new form.
Breaks during evenings/weekends:
1. yes, classified staff can still take their 15 minute breaks during evenings and weekends. they just need to inform the work study student where you are going for your break.
Info lit assessment:
1. Sofia updated everyone on the information literacy assessment happening on campus. the questions are done, once they are populated into an online tool, we will test the assessment on work study and library staff.
Nadeau 109:
1. the computer lab in Nadeau has new hours. Monday through Sunday the lab will be available from 6am to 11pm. it will no longer be a twenty-four hour lab.
2. On Saturday and Sunday, students will need proximity cards to access the lab.
3. at 11:15pm every night, computers will shut down.
