The Blake Library gallery displayed “Montell the Monster: A Tale of Monstrous Forgiveness” in September. The exhibit showcased images from a story for children that included dramatic collages, interactive mirrors and “live examples” of the main character’s destructive force. Author/artist Melanie Daigle also showcased pages from the book-in- progress, which she said she has been working on for “way too many years.”
Local artist and native of St-André, New Brunswick, Canada, Lorraine (Morin) Levesque featured her paintings through the month of November at the Blake Library Gallery. Levesque is a self-taught artist who has been painting for more than
35 years. Although she paints in acrylic, she works in oil and loves to paint nature, the seasons, and flowers. The exhibit also contained paintings that used a plaster to apparently raise the artwork on the canvas.
